History
Who could forget Rock n Roll sensations Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, and Jerry Lee Lewis! Becoming popular in the 1950's, and thereafter, these artist (and more), were musical icons, and too many the greatest of all time. Rock n Roll didn't quite acquire it's name until the 1950's where we heard songs like "Hound Dog" from Elvis Presley, "Accidents Will Happen" by Frank Sinatra, and "Rock Around the Clock" by Bill Haley. Rock n Roll was especially a hit with the teenagers; it was a way for them to rebel, and express themselves. Rock n Roll influenced everything, from the way people lived their lives, the way they talked, their attitude, and even how they dressed. Other forms of music at this time included Jazz, and Country. Artist like Nat King Cole, and Johnny Cash brought about these types of music and were considered musical icons as well. Below, please enjoy a performance by Elvis Presley!
